Is a 668 credit score good for a car loan?

Can I get a car loan with a 668 credit score? It’s so close to the cutoff for a good score and I’m hoping that I’ll still qualify for a good rate even though it’s technically not over 670.

While a 668 credit score is still considered fair, not good, there are still some things you can do to raise your score by two or more points before applying for a car loan. These things include:
  • Paying off any overdue debts
  • Paying all of your bills on time
  • Reducing your utilization of your line of credit to 30% or less
Doing these things will improve your credit score. Once your score reaches 670 or higher, it will be considered “good,” and you’ll qualify for better rates on your loan.
