How can I find the insurance of a car?
My neighbor is always talking about how great his car insurance company treated him after his Lexus was totaled, but he never seems to want to tell me what company he has. How can I find out what car insurance someone else has?

Without just cause for the request—such as a collision—you won’t be able to find out what insurance your neighbor has for his car.
However, if you were involved in a collision, you may be able to ask the police after the report has been filed. Alternatively, present the police report to your DMV, along with other documents proving that you have just cause to request his insurance information.
But instead of going for what your neighbor has, why not shoot for something better?
