Does the Kia warranty cover the engine?
I want to buy a Kia, but when I bought one back in the day, the engine went kaput after only three or four years. I’ve read that the quality has improved drastically, but I still want to make sure I’m covered. Is the engine covered under the Kia warranty?

Kia has definitely become a more reputable brand over the last 10 years, highlighted by its best-in-the-industry warranty. Both the five-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and the 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty specifically cover the engine, so you shouldn’t worry about damage due to manufacturing defects.
However, Kia would not cover the engine in some cases, such as if you made a modification to the engine, tuned the engine control unit, or were using the car to go off-roading or race. Consult your warranty agreement to find out what may void the engine warranty.
