Does a mortgage include home insurance?
My fiance and I are looking to purchase a home, and we seem to be confused about home insurance. He thinks that homeowners insurance is included in the mortgage payments, but I’m pretty sure that isn’t how it works. Does a mortgage include home insurance?

You may be glad to know that you’re right in this debate. A mortgage does not include home insurance in its estimates.
