Does a Honda extended warranty cover the battery?
I purchased a Honda extended warranty on my Accord EX when I bought it four years ago. The original warranty has already expired—that said, my battery recently gave out and I wanted to see if the extended warranty will replace it. Can I get a new battery through the Honda extended warranty?

. Battery replacements are limited to the original warranty, which would cover your battery for up to three years and 36,000 miles.However,

would replace the battery if you had a hybrid vehicle. The technology behind hybrid batteries is a bit more complex, making them more expensive. These batteries are covered not only by the Honda extended warranty but also by a federal warranty of up to eight years.Since you have to pay for the battery out of pocket, expect to budget between $70 and $300. A $70 battery is better if you were selling the car, as it typically only comes with a three-month warranty. However, a $300 battery would come with a four-year warranty, so you’ll have to weigh the options on your own to come to the right choice for your needs and budget.
