Can you tell me how to find my car insurance?

I'm wondering how I can find my car insurance carrier and policy information? I would love to compare my rates and see if I can get cheaper insurance.

Wanting to find
cheap car insurance
is a good reason to look up your current insurance policy! There are a few different ways you can find your insurance provider’s name and policy info.
Start by locating your
insurance card
. There is most likely one already present in your vehicle (or at least, there should be in case of an accident!). Your insurance card has your provider’s name andpolicy number listed, which you can then use to look up your insurance information on their online portal, mobile app, or by calling and speaking to an agent.
Alternatively, you can take a look at your bank statements. Your monthly premium may be automatically deducted from your account, and it’s likely that the insurance provider’s name is right there on the transaction. Once you find the name, you can work with a representative to pull up your account information and send you a copy of your
declaration page
.
