Can you take a driving test in another language?

I’m originally from Mexico, but I’m a naturalized U.S. citizen. While I can speak and write in English, I usually only speak Spanish at home and with friends. I need to take a driving test, but I’d be much more comfortable taking it in Spanish. Does the DMV let you take a driving test in another language?

Being able to fluently speak two languages is such a gift! You can take a driving test in another language in most states, so don’t feel like you’re pigeon-holed.
That said, Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the U.S., and most drivers, even newbies or prospective
provisional drivers
can take the driving test in a foreign language.
Just make sure that your local DMV has a multilingual examiner. That will make your test easier.
No matter what language you speak, car insurance is a universal requirement to get behind the wheel of a car in the U.S. So once you pass your driving test, make sure to shop around for car insurance with the
