How do you reset the service light on a BMW X5?

I recently took my BMW X5 to the mechanic. I’m a little confused about why my service light is still on. The mechanic said everything looked good. Is there a way that I can reset the service light?

A persistent service indicator can be a real pain. Luckily, you can reset the service light on your
BMW X5
by following these easy steps:
  1. Turn your car on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Look for the small odometer button near the bottom left corner of your instrument panel. Hold it down until the service message appears.
  3. Let go of the button and then press it again until you see a reset message.
  4. Repeat step three and hold the button until the reset is successful.
  5. Turn the car off and then start the engine to ensure it was successfully reset.
Now that you no longer have to worry whether your car needs service, you can drive with a bit more peace of mind. But before you get back on the road, take a moment to check out the
