Can I renew my driver's license online in Kansas?

Help! My Kansas license is expiring in two days, and I have no time in my schedule to sit at the driver’s license office for hours. Will they let me renew it online?

Don’t stress! You can renew your driver’s license online in
Kansas
if you have your license number and fit the following criteria:
  • Your license is set to expire within 12 months or has been expired 12 months or fewer
  • You’re a U.S. citizen
  • Your license is in a “valid” status
  • You’ve had a vision exam by a Kansas eye doctor within the last 12 months
  • You don’t have a commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • You’re not a registered offender
  • You’re between 21 and 64 years old
  • You did not complete your last renewal online
You can renew your license on the iKan website or app. Depending on your type of license, your fee will likely cost between $3 and $18, and you can pay with a valid credit card. They don’t provide you with a temporary license, but you can expect your license to arrive in the mail within 45 days.
After you get your new license in hand, you might want to revisit your
car insurance
policy before hitting the road…because chances are, you’re overpaying. Don’t sweat it, though—the
Jerry
app can fix that. As the #1 rated insurance app on the App Store, Jerry will find you the absolute lowest rates for whatever coverage you’re looking for—all in just a few minutes!
