Can I change auto insurance companies after a claim so I don't have to pay higher premiums?

I have Progressive and I recently submitted a claim after an at-fault accident. Can I switch companies to avoid a rate increase?

“While you can always shop around for better rates on car insurance, you can’t avoid having a claim on your record.
When you apply with a new company, they will ask for your claims history and review your driving record. Even if you don’t disclose an accident, they can access up to seven years of claims history through a shared database called the Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange (CLUE).
Although you have an accident, it doesn’t mean you can’t find an affordable rate. To avoid a potential increase, use the Jerry app to compare rates across top providers. A licensed broker, Jerry does all the hard work of finding the cheapest quotes from the top name-brand insurance companies and delivers the best deals to your phone in minutes.”
