Are there rest stops on 81 in Virginia?

My band just landed a gig in Nashville! We’re from Scranton, PA, so we’ll be driving most of the way on I-81. We’ll end up stopping to stretch our legs somewhere in Virginia, but are there rest stops on 81 in Virginia? Are they nice?

Virginia
 does indeed have rest stops all along I-81. There are six northbound and six southbound, plus welcome centers at each end. Here are the general areas of each rest stop: Southbound:
  • Winchester
    : Safety rest area and Welcome Center
  • New Market
    : Safety rest area
  • Mount Sydney: Safety rest area
  • Fairfield: Safety rest area
  • Troutville
    : Safety rest area
  • Radford
    : Safety rest area
  • Smyth: Safety rest area
Northbound:
  • Bristol

  • Abingdon: Safety rest area (trucks only)
