When were Volta EV charging stations constructed?
Five years later, it opened and installed over 110 charging stations in parking lots across Los Angeles, Honolulu, Illinois, Phoenix, San Diego, and Chicago, among other areas.
All the charging stations are installed using a universal connector. From 2016 through 2017, it established an additional 600 units with the help of Black & Veatch, a specialist firm in creating smart charging systems.
This infrastructure does not require any membership to access Level 2 Volta EV charging stations, nor do they need credit cards to connect with any.
Accessing the Volta Level 2 charging station is free. The company installs them at easily reachable places. It uses a sponsorship model where it joins hands with organizations to install and maintain the charging service.
Some of the sponsors that have worked with the company include Oakland Athletics, Whole Foods, and Sungevity.
Volta EV charging stations will be available at Walgreens
The EV charging network has joined hands with the drug store to install over 1000 DC fast-charging stalls across over 500 Walgreen stations. Their relationship started in 2019 when Volta installed charging stations in 49 Walgreens stores.
He said the next stage of the company's work would be to install convenient and quick-charging units tailored to the customers' shopping experiences.
The stores are great locations for Volta EV charging stations
The idea of having EV charging units at drug stores and groceries is a novel idea since EV vehicle owners can charge while grabbing some groceries.
Besides, as many people find charging stations around them, they will consider buying an EV. Volta EV charging stations are a step in the right direction.
In the meantime, EV drivers can enjoy free charging at any Level 2 charging station from Volta as they shop.
