The Roadster is one of the models that shot
Tesla
to fame. However, the carmaker discontinued it. Tesla expected to return it to the market in 2021 but has not done so, leading to speculation that the debut has been delayed.
However, it is expected that the
luxurious
second-generation Tesla Roadster will be released at some time in 2023. This vehicle should have better performance than the concept that was released in 2017. Here’s what
Jerry
knows about the new Tesla Roadster.

What is the cost of the new Tesla Roadster?

It is expected that Tesla will debut two models of the Roadster: the Base and Founder's Edition. The base will be sold at about $200,00 and the Founder's Edition at $250,000. There is little information to determine the difference that will result in the $50k difference in the latter model.
However, Tesla has said that it will only be releasing 1,000 models of the Founder's Edition. This may push the used Tesla Roadster's cost of this trim higher later, especially if its performance is good.
Otherwise, as
Find My Electric
states, you may find older Roadsters at between $100,000 and $1,500,000, depending on the model.

The motor performance matches the Tesla Roadster's cost

According to
Car and Driver,
when Tesla unveiled the second-generation Roadster concept in 2017, the company announced that the vehicle would accelerate from rest to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 mph.
If Tesla keeps with these specs, it means that the model will be faster than the famous McLaren 570s and
Senna
, which is gas-powered. That speed is outrageously fast, making it great for racing vehicle enthusiasts.
It is widely expected that Tesla will follow the engine basics of all their models by having three electric motors; one at the rear, one in the middle, and the other one at the front.
The vehicle will drive on all four wheels, giving it more power and enhancing its navigation as well as providing 1,000bhp. It may run on a 200-kWh battery that is expected to have a 620-mile range.

The Tesla Roadster interior and comfort

The interior of the Tesla Roadster is not yet clear as it is just a concept and can be changed as the automaker decides. However, it is expected to look like popular supercars on the market. Unlike other supercars,
Tom's Guide
expects it to have four seats.
Its angled roof will significantly reduce the headroom. However, the bucket seat configuration and low floor seats will make it comfortable. It will have a removable glass roof to create more room.
Tesla is expected to retain its signature minimalist look and feel. The dashboard will have a large screen that extends from the top of the dash to the end of the center console. It will also have a cubby underneath for storage.
None of the models that Tesla has so far released have such features as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or compatibility with Alexa
like on the 2022 Infiniti QX80
Thus, even with a higher Tesla Roadster cost, it is not expected that the model will have these features. However, it is expected that the model has onboard WI-FI and could have apps like YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix.
