Even with its eco-friendly interior, the Ioniq PHEV still manages to feel luxurious in the cabin. While its solid but unremarkable exterior doesn’t exactly scream “way of the future,” perhaps its unassuming looks help keep the Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid as one of the year’s most affordable PHEVs.

The 2022 Hyundai Plug-In Hybrid starts at $27,895 for the SE PHEV trim,just $3,000 more than the Ioniq’s base Blue trim. The mid-level trim is the SEL PHEV trim, which starts at $30,895.The highest-level plug-in Ioniq, the Limited PHEV trim, goes for $34,345.
