background
New Hampshire allows drivers to have custom license plate frames as long as all the figures and numbers on the plate are readily visible. If you get a plate cover, it has to be one that’s clear—no smoked, tinted, or colored covers are permitted. Violations will cost you a $150 fine.
Picking out accessories for your car is almost as much fun as picking them out for yourself. If you can think of an aesthetic, there’s likely a host of options to help you deck your car out accordingly.
But use caution! There are laws around what you can and can’t do to your license plate, and they vary according to what state you’re in. Knowing the laws where you’re driving can save you some hassle and possibly a costly fine.
