How many seats does the 2022 Lincoln MKX have?

The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus comes with seating for five regardless of the trim level. Unlike larger vehicles in the Lincoln lineup that offer a third row of seating with a seven and eight-passenger configuration, the Nautilus does not.
In all trim levels, the second row has a bench seat that comfortably accommodates three passengers.

Do all Nautiluses have three rows of seats?

No—the Lincoln Nautilus, and former Lincoln MKX, do not offer third-row seating. The configuration of the mid-size SUV slots between the compact Corsair and the seven-passenger Aviator and comfortably seats five.
While you may be unable to squeeze a few extra passengers in the Nautilus, the second row offers plenty of space for three passengers. In the rear, you’ll find 39.6 inches of legroom and 39.2 inches of headroom. Check out our

2022 Lincoln MKX interior

As a luxury car manufacturer, stepping inside a Lincoln means the perfect balance of practical prestige and stunning functionality—and the Nautilus is no exception. It’s loaded with subtle, classic elegance and offers a comfortable and quiet ride thanks to modern features and ample top-of-the-line tech.
Because the Nautilus doesn’t have a third row of seating, the interior is spacious and comfortable. The front seats offer plenty of headroom and legroom, as do the second-row seats. And for families looking for cargo space, the Nautilus ticks the boxes. Behind the rear seats, you’ll find a massive cargo area capable of swallowing 12 carry-on suitcases—more than the
Cadillac XT5
and the
Lexus RX350
. And if you drop the rear seats—that’s an easy job with handy levers in the cargo area that flatten the seatbacks—you can fit up to 27 suitcases!

Cargo space

When it comes to cargo space in the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus, there’s no shortage of storage. With the rear seats folded, the Nautilus offers 68.6 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear—enough to fit 27 carry-on suitcases.
However, if you need ample cargo and passenger space, the Nautilus still offers a respectable 37.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats, which is still capable of packing 12 carry-on suitcases—enough for even the diva in the family!
Compared to the Cadillac XT5 and the Lexus RX350, the Nautilus offers more cargo space, making it a better bet for families who prioritize spaciousness and comfort.

Which other Lincoln vehicles can seat eight people?

For a family of four or five, the Lincoln Nautilus is a great option—it’s relatively fuel-efficient, offers loads of space, and comes packed with the best tech features. However, for anyone with a larger family and/or pets, a five-passenger seating capacity might not cut it—and Lincoln has two solutions!
The Lincoln Aviator is the slightly larger cousin to the Nautilus. It offers seating for six or seven over three rows of seating, depending on the configuration. If you opt for second-row captain's chairs, there’s a choice of two center consoles between the second-row seats, one of which offers easier pass-through to the third row. But while the Aviator may offer a third row of seats, adults will find the rear seats cramped, making it suitable for small children. And with all seats in place, it still has 18 cubic feet of storage space—more than the BMW X5 and Cadillac XT6.
If you’re looking for even more seating, the Lincoln Navigator is Lincoln’s largest
three-row SUV
. Three rows are standard on all models, but seating varies between seven and eight passengers depending on your seating configuration. Unlike many other three-row SUVs that offer a third-row fit for a child, adults can fit comfortably in the Navigator’s back row.
The Navigator is the only Lincoln option if you’re looking for an eight-seater. Still, if you have some flexibility, the Aviator can comfortably seat up to seven, while the smaller Corsair seats up to five passengers
