What is the right tire pressure for a Chrysler Pacifica?

Chrysler recommends Pacifica owners inflate their tires to 36 psi for each of the four tires. You can verify this number by checking your owner’s manual as well as the sticker on the inside of the driver’s door jamb.
Some different Pacifica model years and trim levels call for different tires, which may have a slightly different recommended tire pressure levels. For example, the Pacifica Hybrid and Pacifica Touring need their tires filled to 36 psi, while Pacificas older than the model year 2017 need 33 psi.
If you decide to modify your tires on your own, you will need to find their recommended tire pressure and fill them up accordingly. In most cases, you can find this number on the outer part of the tire—just look for a number followed by “psi.”

How to check Chrysler Pacifica tire pressure

Newer Pacificas offer the convenience of displaying your tire pressure on your dashboard screen. When your vehicle notices one or more of your tires have deflated close to an unsafe level, the tire pressure monitoring system light will turn on to warn you.
If your Pacifica does not have a dashboard screen, you can check your tire pressure using the MOPAR tire and service kit found in your trunk. Turn the orange knob to “air” mode, plug the kit into your Pacifica’s power outlet, and then connect the air hose to your tire valve. The needle on the pressure gauge will move to show the tire’s current pressure level.
Your Pacifica can also show signs that your tires need more air before illuminating your warning light. If you notice uneven rides, misguided steering, or general decreases in your van’s performance, it may be wise to check your tire pressure.

How often should you check tire pressure?

Your tire pressure should be checked monthly and before any long trips.

How to tell if your Chrysler Pacifica needs new tires

Your Pacifica tires should be changed at least once every six years, and it is a good idea to inspect your tires for any harm and general wear and tear every time you check their pressure. If you find any strange cracks or low tread depth, swap out that tire as soon as possible.
Unfamiliar with checking tire tread depth? Use the penny method: stick a US penny, Lincoln’s-head-first, into the tread. If you can see the top of his head, it’s time for a fresh tire.

How to reset the Chrysler Pacifica tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

One of the most common problems drivers face is a tire pressure warning light that won’t turn off. If your light is still on even after you’ve properly filled your tires, you most likely need to
reset your TPMS
.
Chryslers are designed to automatically turn the tire pressure warning light off once their sensors are recalibrated. To start this process, drive for 20 minutes at speeds above 15 mph—this should reset the sensors.
If the light is still on, try turning your key to the “on” position, while leaving the engine off. Then, press and hold the TPMS button underneath the steering wheel until the warning light blinks three times. Finally, release the button and wait 20 minutes—that should hopefully do the trick.
But what if the TPMS warning light is still on after all of that? In that case, we’d recommend bringing your Pacifica to your trusted repair shop or local Chrysler service center for professional analysis.
