What is the right tire pressure for a Chrysler 300?

In most cases, the recommended tire pressure for a Chrysler 300 is 30 psi for both front and rear tires. However, if you drive a Chrysler 300 of a higher trim level, the recommended tire pressure may be slightly higher, around 32 psi for both front and rear tires.
Your exact recommended tire pressure can vary slightly by model year, trim level, and OEM tire size—but you can always check your vehicle’s specifications in your owner’s manual or on the placard attached to the inside of the driver’s side door frame.
Keep in mind that high-performance tires may also have a different recommended tire pressure than your Chrysler’s original tires. If you choose to modify your vehicle to include bigger wheels or new tires, be sure to check out the tire pressure specifications for your new setup before hitting the road.

How to check Chrysler 300 tire pressure

Checking your Chrysler 300’s tire pressure is fast and easy—and, in most cases, you won’t even have to get out of your car! Newer models of the Chrysler 300 are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that reads the air pressure in each tire and sends information directly to your display.
If the pressure is low, the TPMS light in your instrument cluster will light up and you’ll get a low tire pressure alert on your driver’s display. You’ll even be able to see which tire is underinflated on the screen!
You can also check your tire pressure manually using a
tire pressure gauge
, which is an instrument designed specifically to measure the air pressure in your vehicle’s tires. Just remove the valve stem cap located on the rim of each one of your tires, then push the tire pressure gauge onto the valve stem. After a few seconds, you’ll get a reading—which you can use to add or remove air from your tire, as needed.
There are other ways to tell if your tire pressure is low: watch out for decreased vehicle performance, an uneven ride, or steering trouble. All of these problems could indicate an issue with your vehicle’s tire pressure.

How often should you check tire pressure?

You should check your tire pressure once a month or so and before taking any major trips.

How to tell if your Chrysler 300 needs new tires

Replacing your Chrysler 300’s tires is usually necessary every three to five years, but it’s a good idea to get in the habit of checking for cracks, bulges, or signs of undue wear a lot more often than that.
We’d recommend checking out the state of your tires as often as you check your tire pressure—so at least once a month.
Low tread depth can be another signal of failing tires. If you’ve never measured your tread depth before, there’s a quick and easy method you can use, and all it takes is one U.S. penny. Simply stick the penny Lincoln’s-head-first into the tire tread and take a look. If you can still see the top of Old Abe’s head, it’s time for new tires.

How to reset the Chrysler 300 tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

After you’ve inflated your tires to the proper psi, it may take a few minutes for your TPMS light to shut off. You may need to drive around for some time after re-inflating your tires to allow the TPMS time to reset on its own. But if driving doesn’t help and you can’t get that pesky dashboard light to disappear, you may need to manually
reset your TPMS
.
You’ll find a TPMS reset button on your Chrysler’s instrument panel for situations like these, located next to the speedometer. To reset the system, simply start your engine, then press and hold the TPMS reset button for at least five seconds or until it flashes. Once the light flashes, you’re good to let go—and your TPMS should automatically reset from there.
