background
With its three trim levels, two engine options, and a comprehensive list of customization options, building a custom Chrysler 300 isn’t complicated.
The Chrysler 300 is known for being one of the larger sedans on the market. Generally speaking, its drivers are looking for comfort. Lucky for you, the optional add-ons go beyond just aesthetics and will have you riding in relaxation in no time.

2022 Chrysler 300 customization options

The Chrysler 300 is a spacious large sedan known for its comfort and storage capacity. Each trim for the 2022 Chrysler 300 received different upgrades, but all have a new air filtration system. If you’re looking for muscle-car performance, you can upgrade to a V8 engine with 363 horsepower.
The three trims for the 2022 Chrysler 300 include the Touring, Touring L, and 300S. The Touring starts at a base price of $35,140, while the Touring L starts at $38,340. At the top of the line is the 300S for $43,750.
The Touring L trim level includes a Sport Appearance Package with 20-inch wheels. It also comes with the standard V6 engine and can be driven with rear or all-wheel drive. The 300S trim includes a premium sound system, standard navigation, and a panoramic sunroof—if you spring for the V8 engine.
The engine options for the 2022 Chrysler 300 are the standard 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6 or the 5.7L HEMI® with VVT V8 TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission. The V6 generates a horsepower of 292 in the Touring and Touring L and 300hp in the 300S. The V8 is an add-on only available for the 300S.

How to customize your Chrysler 300 to save money

In most cases, add-ons and optional packages will increase the overall price of your Chrysler 300.
With the Popular Equipment Package costing $3,495, and others rivaling in price, adding them all together can get quite expensive. Before you know it, you could be paying luxury prices for what, quite frankly, is not a luxury vehicle.
The additional cost won’t stop at the dealership. An overloaded Chrysler 300 will also see hikes in insurance costs, but there are a few custom options that may actually save you money! If you’re looking to shave off a few dollars, consider these options:
  • Tires: Larger tires can increase your insurance premium, so sticking with the original size is a good way to cut back on costs.
  • Make your own repairs: In some cases, an insurance provider will pay you directly for the repairs needed from a claim. If you are confident in your skills, there are several repairs you can easily do from home and save some extra cash.
  • Aerodynamic adjustments: It’s well known among car enthusiasts that the elements have a significant impact on your vehicle. By optimizing airflow, you can cool the brakes, engine, KERS, and transmission. This is most often done through wings and can end up being a preventative measure toward future insurance claims.

The best Chrysler 300 mods

Chrysler has a wide array of customization options for the Chrysler 300, but you can also make it your own through custom mods. Here are a few upgrades to consider when building a custom Chrysler.

Tires

The standard tires for the Chrysler 300 are 245/45R20 BSW All-Season Performance Tires. If you’re looking to increase your vehicle’s handling capabilities, consider upgrading to a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 three-season tires with the Chrysler 300S.
Adding a header to your Chrysler 300 is one way to eliminate back pressure created in the manifold. Rather than a single pipe shared by all cylinders, each cylinder has its own, which connects to form a larger pipe called the collector. To top it off, headers can provide a 5% increase in horsepower.

Spoiler installation

Spoilers are a hot commodity in the auto accessory industry—and for good reason! Not only do they elevate your vehicle's style, but they increase its aerodynamics, facilitating your need for speed. Most manufacturers design custom spoilers just for the make and model of your vehicle—Chrysler included.
