2012 Acura TL bolt pattern

The bolt pattern of a 2012 Acura TL is 5x4.72 or 5 on 4.72. If you aren’t sure what that means, no need to cry about it—we’ll explain. Every bolt or lug pattern is expressed in the following manner:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
In the TL’s case, a 5x4.72 lug pattern means that each TL wheel has five bolts set in a circle measuring 4.72 inches in diameter. But before you change the face of your commute with a set of new rims, you’ll need some other information before doing so, including your Acura’s stud size, center bore measurement, wheel offset, and torque specifications:
  • Factory wheel size: 17” to 18”
  • Stud size: 14mm stud thread x 1.5mm thread spacing
  • Offset: 34 to 50 mm
  • Center bore: 64.1 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 108 Nm

How to measure your Acura TL’s bolt pattern

The above specifications should be all you need to swap out your Acura’s current rims for a new set. That said, you can easily measure the TL’s bolt pattern yourself.
You’ll need a measuring tape or even a basic ruler. As the Acura TL has five bolts, you’ll end up between bolts if measuring straight across. Instead, pick any bolt on one of the TL’s wheels, and measure from the lug head’s outer edge to the center of the opposite bolt to get an accurate diameter.
Now just combine that diameter measurement with the number of bolts on your car’s wheel using the expression above, and voila!—you have your bolt pattern!
