If your 2007 Acura TSX asks you for a code to use your audio system, you’ll need to know where to find it. Start by checking inside your glove box or in your owner’s manual. You can use Acura’s online look-up tool with your VIN and serial number if you can't find it.
If you’re one of those drivers that can’t go anywhere without a bit of background music, having a non-functioning radio system can be a pain. Luckily, you can override this security measure in your Acura with your vehicle’s radio code. So what is this magic number, and how do you know where to find it?

. Why do I need an Acura radio code?
If you’ve never had to enter your radio code before, you might be wondering why you need it in the first place. The answer is simple: radio codes are an audio system theft deterrent.
If your radio is disconnected, you’ll need to enter the code to regain access, thus deterring any potential thieves from wanting to steal it. However, this security measure can be rather annoying if you don't know where to find the code.
How to find your Acura radio code
Luckily, you don’t need to be an expert on car radios to find your code. In fact, some radios won’t require the code at all!
Before you search for the magic number, try restarting your radio without it. To do so, press and hold the power button until your audio system resets. You won’t need to enter the code if your radio successfully reboots.
If rebooting the system doesn’t do the trick, you’ll need to find the code. Check for the decal of your Acura’s radio code inside your glove box or on the underside of the engine compartment fuse box cover.
If you still can’t find the code, don’t worry. You can retrieve a new code or look it up online.
How to look up your Honda radio code
Before looking up the code, you’ll need your vehicle identification number (VIN)
and your radio’s serial number. We know what you’re thinking- more numbers? Fortunately, these numbers should be a little easier to locate. You can check for your radio’s serial number in a few spots:
The anti-theft radio identification card in your owner’s manual
Your Acura’s maintenance journal
On a small sticker located inside your glove box, door jamb, trunk jamb, or on the radio itself
If you have a 2001 Acura model or later, you can retrieve your serial number by rebooting your radio. Start by turning on your ignition and turning off your radio. Next, press and hold preset buttons 1 and 6, then turn on your radio. See the two sets of numbers, preceded with the letters U and L? Jot down the 8-digits, and you’ve got your serial number!
Now that you have the number, you can phone Acura Customer Service at (800) 382-2238 to obtain a new radio code.
