1996 Chevrolet S10 bolt pattern

The
bolt pattern
on a 1996 Chevy S10 is 5x4.76. If you’re unfamiliar with this car spec, don’t worry—it’s a pretty simple formula. Bolt patterns, also referred to as lug patterns, are expressed as:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
A 5x4.76 bolt pattern means the wheels on your S10 each have five lugs, set in a circle 4.76 inches in diameter
If you’re looking to do a complete wheel overhaul, we have some additional metrics that you should know for a ‘96 S10:
  • Factory wheel size: 14”-15”
  • Stud size: M12 x 1.5
  • Offset: 14 to 50 mm
  • Center bore: 70.3 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 129 Nm

How to measure your Chevrolet S10 bolt pattern

The specifications above should be more than enough information to swap out your wheels for a fresh set, but if you’d like to measure the bolt pattern yourself, we’ve got you covered.
Begin with a measuring tape or standard ruler. Next, choose any lug and measure from the bolt hole’s outer edge to the middle of the bolt opposite it. Since there is an odd number of bolts, you’ll wind up in between two if you measure straight across. Simply pick one of the two closest bolts and measure to the center of that one.
Now that you’ve calculated the diameter, just pair it with the number of bolts on the wheel, and you’ve got your bolt pattern!
