1997 Chevrolet 1500 bolt pattern

The 1997 Chevrolet 1500’s bolt pattern is 5x5, meaning each wheel has five bolts, and they form a circle five inches in diameter. Bolt patterns, which are also called lug patterns, are usually written like this:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
If the specifications for your 1500 call for wheels with a 5x5.5 lug pattern, then those wheels will have five bolts spaced evenly in a circle that is five inches in diameter.
But the wheel specifications don’t stop there. It’s important to know your 1997 Chevrolet 1500 stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurement, and torque, so you can get any wheel job done:
  • Factory wheel size: 15”
  • Stud size: M14 x 1.5
  • Offset: 4 to 25 mm
  • Center bore: 78.1 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 190 Nm

How to measure your Chevrolet 1500’s bolt pattern

If you're interested in measuring your own bolt pattern, we have a way for you to do so, but the measurements above should be all you need to swap out your wheels.
Pick a bolt and use a measuring tape or ruler to find the distance from its outer edge to the middle of the bolt directly across from it. Since there is an uneven number of bolts, you will end up between two of them; however, you need only choose the nearest bolt and use its center as your point of reference.
Once you've determined your diameter, add it to the number of bolts on each wheel to get your bolt pattern!
