Including all packages and drivetrain options, nine possible 2021 Acura RDX configurations are available, ranging in price from $38,400 to $51,000.
The 2021 Acura RDX does a fine job of straddling the line between luxury and refinement on the one hand and sportiness and driving guts on the other. It’s a luxury SUV that’s suitable as a daily commuter vehicle, but with enough élan to turn heads on your way to work. It’s also available in a slew of configurations while still being accessible due to its reasonable prices.

2021 Acura RDX configurations

When pondering how to outfit your 2021 RDX, you’ll need to consider which drivetrain you want and the package you’d like. The RDX comes standard with front-wheel drive, while Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) is available as an option on all packages except the PMC Edition package, where all-wheel drive is standard.
The packages available with the 2021 RDX are as follows:
  • Base
: Surprisingly well-equipped mix of performance and style
  • Technology
: More tech options and safety features
  • A-Spec®
: The sporty version of the RDX, built for athletic driving
  • Advance
: High-end technology and added comfort
  • PMC Edition: Only 360 were built, and has the most exterior flair
All RDX configurations are powered by the same engine—a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, along with a ten-speed automatic transmission. All RDX configurations come standard with the following driver-assist technology (though some packages offer more safety features): adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, and lane-departure mitigation.
Here’s a look at every configuration of the 2021 RDX:

Acura RDX with FWD

Starting price: $38,400
There’s no shame in opting for the base 2021 RDX, as it offered a plethora of standard goodies to satisfy most drivers. Here’s what you’d get, even without AWD and any of the bells & whistles from the advanced packages:
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 19-inch wheels
  • Keyless entry and ignition
  • Dual-zone climate control system
  • Heated front seats
  • Simulated leather upholstery
  • 10.2-inch touchscreen
  • 9-speaker audio system
  • Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
  • On-board WiFi

Acura RDX with SH-AWD

Starting price: $44,400
For an extra $4,000, the 2021 Acura RDX could be equipped with Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system, which gets you better traction and an overall sportier ride. Your fuel efficiency will likely dip slightly with all-wheel drive, as is normal.

Acura RDX Technology with FWD

Starting price: $41,300
The Technology package gets your RDX souped-up with more gizmos and some extra driver-assist features. A navigation system, extra USB ports, and a 12-speaker premium audio system are all part of this package, along with safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front- and rear parking sensors.

Acura RDX Technology with SH-AWD

Starting price: $43,300
An extra $2,000 with the Technology Package gets you Acura’s all-wheel drive system, along with better traction and a livelier drive quality. Expect that dip in fuel economy, though.

Acura RDX A-Spec with FWD

Starting price: $44,300
The A-Spec package is for the true thrill-seeking driver, as it's the sportiest package you can add to the 2021 RDX. The RDX’s exterior is burnished with 20-inch wheels, restyled bumpers, and black painted exterior trim. On the inside, you’ll get ventilated front seats, leather and simulated suede upholstery, and a 16-speaker audio system.

Acura RDX A-Spec with SH-AWD

Starting price: $46,300
Splurge for the ultimate performance-minded RDX, with Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive giving the A-Spec package a fun boost for an extra $2,000.

Acura RDX Advance with FWD

Starting price: $46,200
Offering the best range of features across the entire RDX line, the Advance package gets you almost everything you could hope for in a compact luxury sedan. Along with everything in the Technology package, the Advance package adds adaptive suspension dampers for livelier handling and better quality, a hands-free liftgate, and sound-reducing front-side glass.
On the interior, the Advance package gets you wood cabin trim, a heated steering wheel, thigh extension and side bolster adjustments for the front seats, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a 16-speaker audio system, and a surround-view camera system for an easier time parking in tight spaces.

Acura RDX Advance with SH-AWD

Starting price: $48,200
Opting for all-wheel drive gets you everything that comes in the Advance package, as well as stickier traction and even more driving verve.

Acura RDX PMC Edition with SH-AWD

Starting price: $51,000
Acura produced just 360 PMC Edition RDXs, and all came standard with all-wheel drive. With this rare RDX, you’ll get all the visual enhancements of the A-Spec package and all the extras that come with the Advance package. Unique to the PMC Edition, you’ll also get the following:
  • Exclusive thermal orange paint
  • A glossy black treatment to the wheels, grille, roof, exhaust tips, and side mirrors
  • Unique orange seat stitching
