Although Ford has
plans for the EV future
, for now, they’re still pumping out gas-powered vehicles. After a global release,
Ford
intends on bringing their 2023 Ranger Raptor to the U.S. Here’s everything we know so far about the pickup truck.

Specs and features of the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor

Similar to the Ford F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor will be able to be taken off the road and will feature the same flared fenders, a higher ground clearance, grille, and road-ready tires.
Though it’s built on the same fully boxed ladder frame as the Ranger, that’s where the similarities end in terms of specs and exterior features. As far as we know, the 2023 Ranger Raptor will solely be offered in one body style, the crew cab with a five-foot cargo box.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor will have a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine that will get approximately 392 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
Car and Driver
notes that those numbers are not set in stone and may vary slightly with the U.S. version of the vehicle.
This pickup truck will feature a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (which would be necessary for your off-roading adventures) and it features locking front and rear differentials.
When compared to the standard Ranger, the Ranger Raptor is going to be more off-road capable, have a stronger suspension, and will come with 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Interior of the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor

In terms of the interior, the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor won’t be too different from the standard Ranger. Car and Driver writes, “While we still expect an abundance of hard plastics and some rubberized materials, Ford spruces up the cabin with exclusive content.”
The global version that we’ve seen of the Ranger Raptor had leather and microsuede furnishings and sturdy front seats. The vehicle will have aluminum paddle shifters and a steering wheel with a read bad at the top hinting at its performance.
The truck should also offer the same standard and optional features as the Ranger including heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote start.
Infotainment-wise expectations are that it will have an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Ford Sync software which would make Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot would be standard. Optional add-ons should include charging ports, built-in navigation, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Safety features we anticipate will be available are adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
