Will my insurance be cheaper now that I am married?

Will I see a decrease in my insurance now that we are married? My husband and I tied the knot last month and now we are finally starting to update all the paperwork in our lives. I had actually added him to my insurance a few years ago. Aside from my name change, will everything else stay the same?

“Congratulations on the big day! You have a ton of paperwork to change after you get married; however, you already have a good headstart on your
car insurance
policy.
One of the benefits of getting married is that your current insurance company may offer a marriage discount, saving up to 10% off your insurance!
Statistically, married drivers file fewer claims and are involved in fewer accidents than their single counterparts. Even though you both have been listed on a policy together for a while, now you will be deemed a lower risk.
Married drivers are also more likely to bundle
auto and home insurance
with the same company, which is another great way for additional savings.
Downloading a comparison app like
Jerry
is the easiest way to take advantage of all the possible savings coming your way. Jerry collects the lowest auto and home quotes from over 50 carriers and brings the lowest available rates right to the app on your phone.
Enjoy your new life together!”
