Why would Progressive charge me after my policy was canceled?

I canceled my Progressive policy last month but I just got another bill from them. Why would they charge me after my policy is canceled?

Two of the most common reasons you may receive a charge after canceling your
Progressive car insurance policy
include partial term premiums and cancelation fees.
  • Partial term premiums: If your policy dates differ from your billing date, you may receive a bill for the short period of
    car insurance
you had before the cancelation went into effect.
  • Cancellation fees: Some insurers charge cancellation fees for canceling your policy mid-term. Standard rates tend to be $50 or a percentage (usually 10-15%) of your total premium for the period.
The best thing you can do to find out why you were charged is to call a Progressive agent at 1-855-347-3939.
