Why is insurance so expensive on a 2010 Chevy Corvette?
I'm 19 and have had my license since I was 16. I have a clean record. I'm getting quotes for $300 or more for insurance. Why is it so expensive?

“Car insurance rates vary. Your age and the type of vehicle you drive, among other things, can have a significant impact on your rates. Since a Chevy Corvette is considered a sports car, it can cost more to insure.
While it may be frustrating, the only thing you can do is continue to shop around. You can request car insurance quotes from both larger carriers and smaller, regional ones as well.
You could also consider looking at purchasing a different vehicle if the insurance is too high. Otherwise, once you maintain continuous insurance and a clean driving record, your rates will begin to lower over time.
You could pay the higher rate now and shop around again in 6 months. “
