Why is gas so expensive in Rhode Island?

Unfortunately, gas prices all over the country, and all over the world for that matter, are at an all time high.

Rhode Island
’s higher-than-average gas prices on a long list of issues, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and supply chain issues, to name a few. Things are particularly bad in Rhode Island where, across the board, gas prices are higher than the current national average, with regular fuel costing $4.832 a gallon and diesel fuel costing $6.113 per gallon.
