Why are other car insurance carriers' rates so expensive?
I've been insured with Progressive for the past three years. Every time I shop around with other carriers, the rates are 25% higher than what I'm currently paying. I don't have any tickets or accidents. I can't figure out why anyone would have insurance with another carrier if all their rates are so expensive.

car insurance
. Your age, driving record, length of vehicle ownership, and location can all impact your rates. Each insurance carrier weighs these factors differently based on their own guidelines. How you meet these guidelines determines your rate.
If you’re receiving a good rate with your current carrier, that’s great! However, rates do change over time. It’s beneficial to continue to shop around every six or 12 months to make sure you’re always receiving the best rate. “
