Who is the policyholder on my insurance?

I’m filling out some paperwork and they want to know who the policyholder on my car insurance is. I share a policy with my wife, so I’m not sure what they need to know. Who is the policyholder?

The policyholder on your insurance is the person who originally purchased the policy from your insurer. This means that whichever one of you is the named driver on your insurance is the legal policyholder.
You can find the legal policyholder listed on your
insurance card
. You can also contact your insurer for more details about your policy.
