Where is the trunk release on a 2017 Chevy Malibu?
I just got a used Malibu and I noticed there’s no keyhole to open the trunk. I haven’t updated to a newer model in a while, and I guess technology has changed since my last car. Where is the trunk release on a 2017 Chevy Malibu?

Congrats on the new(er) Malibu! Trunk releases on a 2017 Chevy Malibu are located on the RKE transmitter—the key fob—and on the touchpad on the trunk’s handle.
Your RKE transmitter must be within 3 feet of the trunk to unlock it. Press the trunk button twice quickly to open it. To use the touchpad, ensure all your doors are unlocked and the car is parked.
If your key fob is within 3 feet of the car, you can still use the touchpad to release your trunk with the doors locked.* As with most vehicles, there is also an emergency trunk release handle that can open the trunk from within. It glows in the dark inside the trunk lid.
