Where is the 2018 Audi Q5’s OBD port location?

The check engine light in my partner’s 2018 Audi Q5 is on. I have an OBD reader, so I thought I’d see if I could help them figure out what’s going on. Where could I find the port to plug it into the Q5?

I’m sorry to hear about your partner’s Q5, but it’s great that they’ve got you to help them out.
The onboard diagnostics (OBD) port on the 2018
Audi Q5
is located under the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Just look for a rectangular plug located right over the driver’s side footrest.
Car repairs
for an Audi can get expensive fast, so we’re sure your partner was a bit nervous when the
check engine warning light
came on in their car. Luckily, it may only be a sign of something as easy to fix as a loose gas cap. On the other hand, it could signal something more serious, so it’s great that you’re checking it out right away.
While it’s nice to save some money by tackling repairs at home when you can, don’t hesitate to
take your car to a mechanic
if the diagnostic codes give you any trouble. Sometimes, it’s best to make sure a repair is handled professionally, so as not to risk more complicated repairs down the road.
Here’s hoping your OBD scanner reveals a minor issue you and your partner can tackle!
