Where is the 2017 Hyundai Elantra’s OBD port location?

The check engine light in my 2017 Hyundai Elantra just came on. My dad has an OBD scanner, but I can’t find the port to plug it in. Can you tell me where it is in the Elantra?

Of course! The onboard diagnostics (OBD) port on the 2017
Hyundai Elantra
is located in the passenger compartment fuse box.
This is located to the left of the steering wheel at about knee level. When you open the fuse box compartment, you’ll see a rectangular plug at the bottom of the fuse panel—that’s your OBD port.
Nobody likes to see the
check engine warning light
in their car. However, it doesn’t always mean you’re headed towards an expensive
car repair
bill. It could just be something as simple as a loose gas cap.
On the other hand, it could signal something more serious. Don’t hesitate to
take your car to a mechanic
if you’re facing a serious diagnosis. After all, you’re better paying for new repairs now than more complicated (and more expensive) repairs down the road!
