The 2015 GMC Terrain battery location is found under the hood of your vehicle, but it can be difficult to locate because it’s underneath a portion of the engine control module (ECM) on the front-right side.
To access it, you’ll need to remove a bolt on the ECM, then slide the cover to the right and lift it away.
If you want to remove the battery, you’ll also need to remove the plastic panel and its clips on the hood’s right-side border and the bracket that holds the battery in place. Before taking any action on removing or replacing your GMC Terrain’s battery, you’ll want to refer to your owner’s manual first for recommended steps and precautions.
