The OBD port location on a 2012
Nissan Altima
can be found on the underside of the steering wheel column. You shouldn’t have to remove any dash paneling to find it.That said, you may want to push the driver’s seat back as far as it can go so you can get under the steering wheel. A flashlight will also help you find the 16-prong opening where you can plug in your OBD-II scanner.
You may be able to skip a trip to the mechanic’s by performing your own diagnostics with an OBD-II scanner—so long as you
