When did the Hyundai 7-year warranty start?

I was reading that Hyundai has one of the best warranties in the industry. One of my buddies said that they have a 7-year warranty, but it only just began. I’m not sure if that’s true. When did Hyundai’s 7-year warranty start?

Your friend is sort of correct. The
Hyundai
7-year warranty started in 2005, but it only pertains to an anti-perforation and rust warranty. This warranty is **7 years or unlimited miles, whichever comes first.
However, in 2020, Hyundai provided a temporary 7-year/175,000-kilometer (108,000 miles) basic warranty for a limited time in Australia. This was only offered on specific models and they stopped offering it at the end of 2020.
On top of the 7-year anti-perforation and rust warranty, Hyundai also offers a 5-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty on all new cars.
If you’re thinking about buying a Hyundai, the warranty will certainly put your mind at ease. However, you can save more money for repairs down the road by shopping for cheap auto insurance on the
