When did the GMC Canyon get Android Auto?
I have a friend who is going to sell me their 2017 GMC Canyon for a great deal, and I’m super excited! I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use my Android phone in it, though. What year did the GMC Canyon get Android Auto compatibility?

That’s a nice friend indeed! And there’s more good news—the GMC Canyon has had Android Auto functionality since 2016.
So as a 2017 model, your Canyon will be able to connect with Android (or Apple) devices just fine. However, it was not a standard feature on all trim levels, so you might want to ask your friend for more details. If it doesn’t have it factory-installed, there are plenty of options for aftermarket kits!
