I’m a huge fan of the Houston Rockets and I’ve also never been to Denver. To hit two birds with one stone, I thought I’d drive from Houston to Denver to see the Rockets play the Nuggets. What’s the best driving route from Houston to Denver?

. To hit the proverbial two birds with one stone, here’s the best route from Houston to Denver:- Hop on I-45 North out of Houston.
- Take exit 247 for US-287 North.
- Merge onto I-40 West just east of Amarillo.
- Take exit 64 for TX-335.
- Take the RM-1061/Tascosa Road exit.
- Make a right onto US-385 North.
- Continue on US-87 North.
- In Raton, New Mexico, hop on I-25 North and ride it into the Mile High City.
