reckless driving
. Instead, the state relies on the judgment of law enforcement officers to determine whether a person is driving recklessly.
The state considers reckless driving a misdemeanor that’s punishable by:
  • A fine of $5 to $100 for the first offense
  • A fine of up to $500 for a second offense
