- The 1. 5L 4 -cylinder engine uses SAE 0W-20 viscosity grade oil for AWD and FWD drive models.
- The 1.6L 4 -cylinder engine and 2.0L 4 -cylinder requires SAE 5W-30 viscosity grade oil.
Regardless of viscosity grade, Chevy recommends the use of synthetic oil for all 2018 Equinox models.
