Follow these steps to fix your twisted seatbelt, get comfy, and be safe on the road.- Grab the shoulder part of the seatbelt and pull until the retractor stops, keeping the belt pulled tautly. Keep the tongue part of the buckle at the top of the belt.
- Determine which way the belt needs to be turned so it can hang correctly
- Tightly fold the seatbelt over on an angle in the direction it needs to go, right under the seatbelt tongue.
- Slide the tongue part of the buckle over the fold. It might be difficult at first to move the buckle over folded fabric, depending on the tightness of the metal loop.
- Slide the tongue down while you hold the seatbelt taut. The buckle will slide over the fold and flip the fabric.
Now your seatbelt is back to normal, and you can comfortably drive again!
