The recommended oil type for a 2017 Jeep Renegade depends on what you have under the hood:
  • If your Renegade has a 1.4-liter turbo engine, Jeep recommends API certified 5W-40 synthetic oils
  • If your Renegade has a 2.4-liter engine, Jeep recommends API certified 0W-20 oil
Keep in mind if you end up having to replace the oil filter, you will have to remove the entire skid plate.
