What is the Mazda CX-5’s cargo capacity?

I’ve test driven a lot of cars and my favorite is the Mazda CX-5. I’m still deciding on what trim level I want to buy, but cargo space is an important consideration for me. Do all Mazda CX-5 trim levels have the same cargo capacity?

You’re asking all the right questions! Just as important as finding the right car is making sure it fits all of your needs, and cargo capacity is a big consideration for many people.
The
Mazda CX-5
comes in eight different trim packages, starting with the Sport and up to the Turbo Signature package.
Here’s the great news—every trim level comes with the same amount of storage! Every CX-5 has 30.9 cubic feet of storage, which can extend to 59.6 cubic feet of storage when you flip down the back seats.
And if you’re worried about how you and your passengers might fit into the car, here are the interior dimensions of the CX-5 (dimensions are front/rear):
  • Head room: 39.9 in./39.0 in.
  • Shoulder room: 57.1 in./54.8 in.
  • Hip room: 55.2 in./55.3 in.
  • Leg room: 41.0 in./39.6 in.
Before you sign your name on the dotted line, make sure that your new CX-5 is protected with the best car insurance around.
