What is the cost to renew a driver's license in Oklahoma?

I need to renew my Oklahoma driver’s license sooner rather than later, as it’s set to expire in about nine months. I was also thinking that I should get a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, but I’m not sure if it’s more expensive. How much does it cost to renew a driver’s license in Oklahoma?

Taking a proactive approach to renewing your driver’s license is always a great way to avoid stress and hassle. The cost to
renew a driver’s license in Oklahoma
is $38.50 for residents 61 and younger. For people age 62 and older, renewal fees are tiered as follows:
  • Age 62: $21.25
  • Age 63: $17.50
  • Age 64: $13.75
  • Age 65 and older: Free!
If you want to get a REAL ID-compliant Oklahoma driver’s license, the state charges no additional fee. However, the DMV still gives you the option of whether you want a REAL ID or a standard driver’s license. Since you’re required to have a REAL ID for domestic flights starting on May 3, 2023, you may as well opt for the REAL ID since it’s the same price.
To obtain an Oklahoma driver’s license, you can either:
  • Visit a Motor License Agent (Tag Agent) location.
  • Sign up for a My.OK.GOV account and apply for one online.
