The warm-weather months are the perfect time to take in Bryce Canyon’s jaw-dropping red, orange, and white-colored natural rock formations. Highlights include Thor’s Hammer, the Park’s best known “hoodoo” that is named for the Norse God of Thunder, and the Grand Staircase, an immense sedimentary rock formation stretching from Bryce Canyon through Zion National Park to the Grand Canyon.
The May-September period is also when most of the park’s ranger-led activities are at their peak, including lots of tours and activities during Bryce Canyon Astrology Festival (June) and Bryce Canyon Geology Festival (July).
