What is the best route from San Antonio to Seattle?

My friend is having a wedding in Seattle and my roommate and I want to drive but we’re worried about how long it is. What route should we take to get from San Antonio to Seattle?

 out of a distant wedding is a great idea, but you can expect a pretty long trip! It’ll probably take you about 35 hours of driving time on the best route from
San Antonio
 to
Seattle
.
Here’s an outline of our recommended route:
  • Drive through western
    Texas
     and into
    New Mexico
    .
  • Continue up through
    Utah
     and
    Idaho
     and finally the northeastern part of
    Oregon
    .
  • Once you’re in
    Washington
     it’ll take 3 to 4 hours to get to Seattle
