What is the 2006 Honda Pilot’s oil type?

I’m planning on changing the oil for my 2006 Honda Pilot. What type of oil do I need and how much should I put in?

The 2006
Honda Pilot
needs synthetic oil with a viscosity of 5W-20. Using this oil should keep your Pilot running smoothly assuming you remember to change it when appropriate. The car will hold 4.5 quarts of oil.
If you fail to
change your oil
regularly, it will begin to solidify. Once the oil has solidified, your engine will fail to cool and the moving parts within your car won’t be properly lubricated.
You should keep track of when you need to change your oil as a part of your
maintenance schedule
. Other parts of your car you should stay on top of include:
  • Battery health
  • Tire pressure
  • Registration
If you drive your car frequently and for long distances, you may need to change your oil more often than average. If you decide to have a professional change your oil, it should cost around $50.
