is a top-rated truck with an affordable price tag—and it’s not obnoxiously big, so good choice! A Tacoma’s gas mileage varies depending on engine size, drivetrain, and transmission, but here is the fuel economy for all 2022 Toyota Tacoma models (automatic transmission unless otherwise noted):
- 2WD, 2.7-liter four-cylinder: 23 mpg highway, 20 mpg city, 21 mpg combined
- 2WD, 3.5-liter V-6: 24 mpg highway, 19 mpg city, 21 mpg combined
- 4WD, 2.7-liter four-cylinder: 22 mpg highway, 19 mpg city, 20 mpg combined
- 4WD, 3.5-liter V-6: 22 mpg highway, 18 mpg city, 20 mpg combined
- 4WD, 3.5-liter V-6, manual transmission: 21 mpg highway, 17 mpg city, 18 mpg combined
