The Toyota Prius is a fuel-efficient and reliable car worthy of being protected by a great warranty. Toyota’s Platinum Extended Warranty pays for parts and labor for repairs on your vehicle’s engine, transmission, computer, air conditioning, radiator, fuel system, steering, suspension, and electrical systems for 6 years or 100,000 miles—whichever comes first.
The standard Toyota warranty includes the following coverages:
- 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty
- 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty
- 2-year, 25,000-mile no-cost maintenance
If the above coverage is running out soon and you’re interested in extending your coverage, the extended warranty could be a good choice. But you should read the fine print carefully before committing to avoid buyer’s remorse.
